The Experience
Take to the skies and fly the Yorkshire Yankee. Based at Breighton Airfield is this 1945 Boeing Stearman American biplane. Beautifully restored and painted in early WW11 US Army Corps trainer colours.

Our Stearman adventure will take your breath away. The Yorkshire Yankee is rugged, surprisingly large and has enough power to make flying an adventure and a joy. There is nothing quite like flying a biplane low over the beautiful and scenic landscape of Yorkshire or touching down gracefully on a grass strip after such a flight. ​
We operate from Breighton Aerodrome, an ideal airfield for the Boeing Stearman flight experience. Home to the Real Aeroplane Club, Breighton is easy to access, family friendly with an onsite café that offers for sale a range of meals as well as light bites, cakes and snacks as well as hot and cold drinks.
